Once In My Dreams

The cold air kisses me,

When I remember,

A broken love’s memory.

Deep in my slumber,

Images I can’t see,

It lingers further,

To an unspoken reality.

The apparition of my desires,

Coming forth in every while,

I wake up in ire,

To my dreams, I beguile.

[Poems From My Kingdom] To My King Of Dreams

I know that I’ve been inactive lately, and it’s because I’m busy (my usual reason) for finals. Last 12 days, yay! So to catch up, I’ll be posting a series of poems, my musings on the kingdom my pen wills me to write. It will be my first time to put a post on queue here on WordPress since I really want to type, publish, and see the lovely people who liked already. But since it’s hell week for me, I’ll just have to wait for a while. Anyway, it’s no big deal, as long as I post my poems, I’m already happy.

So to start, I present you the first of seven poems that are penned by my heart and stroked by my imagination. Here it goes. 🙂

To My King Of Dreams

To the heart of my king,

Let him speak to me only,

Let me be the one to sing,

A broken love’s melody.

I may feel sad for a while,

For a love which isn’t replied.

But I have run for a thousand miles,

Even though you just lied.

My elusive king,

Ruler of my dreams…

In my eyes, the hero of everything,

But in reality, it’s not what it seems.

Sleep well my king,

Thanks for making my dreams colorful.

Before I nap, I’ll be thinking,

I’ll meet you again, how wonderful.

Forget-berry-not

Okay, sorry for the pun title… Hehe. I’ve been busy for a while that’s why I haven’t posted anything lately, I don’t want to be forgotten! But rest assured, I’ll have a feisty comeback and by feisty I’m going to share this very flirty one-stanza poem with you:

I’ll kiss you ’til you’re lips get sore,

I’ll hug you ’til you say no more.

I’ll fondle you’re hand ’til the clock strikes four.

I’ll meet you in my dreams, in front of my door.

Usually the poems I write come as a surprise because they just pop in my head before I sleep. I want to sleep but then my brain would think a lot of things magically giving me another idea for a poem, the result would always end up with me having a delayed sleep. My brain must be thinking: “Launch poem ideas before bedtime”, “Mission Accomplished, Operation Delay Sleep is a success”. Anyway, I’m happy we live in this age of smart phones, I’d just type lying down, waiting for yawns to finally come.

Now enough of my pre-slumber experiences! 🙂 Here’ s another one-stanza poem describing my College crush:

Your skin is whiter than snow…

You blush more than the red roses I grow.

Your smile makes my day glow,

And your laugh makes my heart blow.
